Iron Professional has been formulated to provide more comprehensive support for a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle through the effects of the active ingredients on similar physiological functions compared to food supplements containing only iron.

Iron is an essential mineral whose compound forms with nitrogen and sulphur have contributed to the evolution of life and the release of oxygen into the atmosphere through photosynthesis.

Red meat, fish, legumes and dark green leafy vegetables, for example, contain significant amounts of iron. Much of the iron in foods of animal origin is present as part of complex proteins, such as haemoglobin, which is involved in the transport of oxygen. Haemoglobin consists of globin protein and a haem group. The porphyrin ring of the haem part contains the iron to which oxygen attaches itself.

In plant-based foods, iron is found in a different way, not as part of the haem. This difference affects the absorption properties of iron, and as a result iron from foods of animal origin has better bioavailability than plant-based iron. Although there are many other factors involved in iron absorption, all of these can be positively influenced.

This is where vitamin C comes in. In addition to helping protect cells against oxidative stress, it also enhances iron absorption, which is why we have added it to our formula.

Vitamin B12, or cobalamin, is mainly found in foods of animal origin, such as meat, fish, dairy products and eggs, which is why people following a vegan diet should pay attention to sufficient vitamin B12 intake. For this reason, we felt it was important to use a vegan-friendly variant when creating Iron Professional.

Folic acid, also known as vitamin B9, is found in many foods, with substantial quantities in dark green leafy vegetables, legumes and nuts. Our product contains folic acid in the form of active calcium L-methylfolate.

The product may be a suitable choice for those who, in addition to iron supplementation, wish to support the following physiological processes through other active ingredients:

Iron is involved in normal energy-yielding metabolism, and contributes to both normal haemoglobin formation and normal oxygen transport in the body.
Iron and vitamin B12 contribute to normal red blood cell formation and also play a role in cell division.
Folic acid also plays a role in cell division, contributes to normal blood formation and is also involved in maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.
Vitamin C is included in the composition because, as an antioxidant, it helps protect cells against oxidative stress and also enhances iron absorption.
Last but not least, iron, vitamin B12, vitamin C and folic acid also contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system, reducing fatigue and tiredness.

3. Delivery Options – Republic of Ireland, EU & International

4. Delivery Confirmation, Risk & Transfer of Responsibility

(a) Signature Required

A signature will be obtained at the point of delivery.
Until a signed handover occurs, the parcel remains at NI Supplements’ risk.
Once signed for by you or a nominated recipient, delivery is complete and responsibility transfers to you.

(b) No Signature Required / Authority to Leave

By selecting “No Signature Required” or authorising an unattended delivery / safe place, you:

Expressly instruct the courier to deliver the parcel to your address or nominated safe place without obtaining a signature.
Acknowledge that the courier’s photo and GPS confirmation constitute full proof of delivery.
Accept that once such confirmation is recorded, the order is deemed successfully delivered, and
Agree that risk of loss, theft or damage passes to you immediately upon that confirmation.

Accordingly, NI Supplements’ delivery obligation is fully discharged once the courier records a delivered scan with accompanying GPS/photo evidence.

If you are concerned about parcel security at your address, please select “Signature Required” at checkout. This is recommended for high-value orders or where the delivery location is unattended or visible from a public street.

5. Non-Delivery Claims

All non-delivery reports are investigated directly with the courier.
Where the courier provides proof of delivery (signature, photo or GPS record) matching the supplied address, the order is considered fulfilled and is not eligible for replacement or refund under this policy.
Where the courier confirms no delivery, we will either resend or refund the order promptly.

6. Failed Delivery, Refusals & Returns to Sender

If a parcel is returned due to customer error (e.g., incorrect address, failure to collect, or refusal of delivery), we may either:
- Resend it after payment of a re-shipping fee; or
- Refund the product value less the original outbound shipping cost.
Where the error or delay was caused by NI Supplements or our courier, we will resend at our expense.

7. Same-Day Dispatch Guarantee (Express Orders)

Guaranteed for orders placed before 1 p.m. (Monday–Saturday).
Couriers may experience exceptional delays beyond our control; such events do not invalidate the guarantee for dispatch timing.

8. Working Days Definition

“Working Days” means Monday to Saturday, excluding UK Bank Holidays. Orders placed after 1 p.m. on a Saturday or on a Bank Holiday are processed on the next working day.

9. Evidence & Investigation

We maintain courier records, including time-stamped tracking data, GPS coordinates and photographic delivery evidence, for audit and anti-fraud purposes. Customers alleging non-receipt after confirmed delivery may be asked to provide a police crime reference number. We reserve the right to cooperate with carriers and authorities in any fraud investigation.
